Dancehall King Shatta Wale has made a call to all dancehall artistes to pay 10% royalties to reggae/dancehall musician Samini. He made the call on this evening’s edition of Show Bizness on Zylofon TV.
According to the Taking Over hitmaker, Samini has set a pace in Ghana, for which all reggae and dancehall musicians have and still do benefit from.
“Samini didn’t go abroad to make it. He stayed in Ghana and worked hard and i can say because of him, all of us are popular. Every dancehall artiste should pay 10% royalties to Samini”, he said.
Samini has led the reggae/dancehall genre in Ghana for over a a decade and has produced several hit songs like Linda, My Own, Obaa, amongst others. His latest album, Untamed, which was released last year topped several charts on playlists, music stores and media.
Shatta Wale was recently announced as one of the artistes featured on Beyoncé’s upcoming album, The Lion King: The Gift.
