As with December packed activities, so many concerts are happening around town, some organised and headlined by the artistes themselves, and others put together by event organisers.
It is of no surprise then that Ground Up Chale’s Kwesi Arthur is also set to shut down Kumasi with a concert. This upcoming concert is the young champ’s maiden major self organised headline concert in Ghana and is scheduled to happen in Kumasi, a city he calls his second home.
For most events happening in enclosed spaces, you’d usually find ticket prices ranging from GHS20 to about GHS200. However, the ghetto youth president, Kwesi Arthur, has set a difference with a GHS1 concert. We strongly believe this is a beautiful way to give back to the streets that made him, and to invite people of all classes to party with him.
For all my people with only a 1 cedi in their pocket right now, this one is for you! I Remember when all I had was one cedi, a dream and patience chale. This is for everyone who wants to change their life!! Let's make this one historic!!! #OneCediandADream #OCAAD ☝🏾🇬🇭🌎

Kwesi Arthur recently sold out his maiden headline show in the US and has thus won the hearts of many people around the globe, including American musician Cardi B, who while in Ghana was seen on social media jamming to Kwesi Arthur’s ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ featuring KiDi.
One Cedi and a Dream concert is set to happen on 22nd December at Kumasi Rattray Park.
